We run both drop in/open courses in community centres or through
adult education, but we also can be booked to run classes or courses
for a specific group of people requesting it. We will discuss the
most appropriate format with you, e.g. a taster session or introductory
course, the needs of your group and the cost.
The client should be able to find and hire, or provide an appropriate
venue (large enough for the numbers expected to move around in –
it doesn’t need to be a gym!). AVF instructors may be able
to advise on appropriate venues if necessary.
It would be the responsibility of the client to produce and distribute
appropriate publicity. Again, AVF can advise on this or take on
this role at extra cost.
All sessions can and will be adapted to the needs and abilities
of the group we are working with.
Fees are on a sliding scale between £15 and £50 per
instructor per hour, depending on the means of the client. Travel
expenses are generally not included in this and will be added to
the total cost. All work is charged at an hourly rate. For very
large groups we may advise that two instructors are needed.
We are trained in Emergency First Aid and community sports. A risk
assessment will be carried out on the venue prior to starting the
course, and all participants will be advised on how to train safely.
We carry public liability insurance.
